Complicity enters a new world of technology

Second Life is a 3D virtual world which boasts over one and a quarter million registered 'residents'. At any one time there are usually 5,000 to 10,000 residents online and spending Linden Dollar (L$), the local currency. Second Life also has its own currency exchange in which L$ can be bought and sold for US$. An excess of US$500,000 is spent in Second Life every day, making it an attractive market for actual companies.

When Second Life came to the attention of Complicity it had less than 350,000 residents, but the real life potential was evident to John and Andrew and the company now has a presence in Second Life called Bounty Bay. There are now over 1.5 million residents – a figure that is growing every hour!
